In this episode of The College Checklist Podcast, I talk with Arfan Qureshi about personal branding and its role in the college admissions process.
We discuss why branding is important, especially for college-bound high school students. Arfan places a heavy emphasis on the importance of networking in the branding and college admissions process. He also explains how students can develop their brand by addressing these four questions:
- What is my natural advantage?
- Who is my audience?
- How can I demonstrate expertise?
- Who do I need to network with?
Arfan and I agree that branding absolutely can and should be applied as a part of the college admissions process. An added bonus, branding can continue to be developed throughout college to help students successfully enter the job market upon graduation.
